Minors: Future Skills Pathways
You can study a Future Skills Pathway alongside your main degree by choosing up to 60 credits of modules from a different subject area in your second and final years.
Shape your studies
Designed to help you align your studies around your interests and future goals, your pathway is formally recognised on your degree certificate: for example, BSc Business with a Minor in Sustainable Solutions.
You'll have the option to choose a pathway in your first year (during Module Selection). We’ll guide you through the pathways available to help you tailor your degree as your ambitions take shape. If you're joining us as a second-year applicant, you may be eligible to choose a pathway. A pathway is available if your programme has 60 credits of elective module space in total across your second and final years (also known as Stages 2 and 3). You will study 30 credits of Minor modules in each of these years.
There are also other ways to personalise your degree, including a language proficiency pathway and interdisciplinary study options. Many students can choose to study a language through the Language Centre from Year 1, with modules available throughout your degree. Alternatively, if your programme does not allow optional credits, you also have the option of taking a course in the Evening Language Programme.
Please view our Minors: Future Skills Pathways - FAQs for any questions.
You can use the module bank in the Study Guide to view module descriptors and find more detail about the modules available to you.
