Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Psychology and Sport & Health Sciences (St Luke's & Streatham campuses, Exeter)

In this exciting subject activity strand, you will have the opportunity to participate in taster sessions in Psychology, Public Health and Sport Science, Medical Sciences, and Neuroscience. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, this strand will allow you to explore diverse concepts and research areas that span across the human mind and body; allow you to engage in practical sessions that mimic the range of teaching delivery styles on our degree programmes, as well as provide insight into the wealth of degree and career options available to you.

Activity locations

All subject activity sessions will take place on both the University of Exeter St Luke's campus and the Streatham campus. 

Between January and October, six sessions will be led by academics from Psychology, Public Health, Sports Science, Medical Sciences and Neurosciences. These sessions offer a unique opportunity to explore the human mind and body from multiple perspectives, combining theory with practical learning experiences.

Students will engage in topics such as Psychology: Exploring Empathy, Altruism and Human behaviour; Sports and Health Sciences: Understanding the role of Nutrition and Health; Medical Sciences and Neurosciences: Understanding Drugs. This strand encourages exploration of diverse research areas, practical engagement and insight into potential degree pathway and career opportunities. 

Priority will be given to students studying one or more of the following subjects at A Level or the equivalent qualification: 

Biology and one other science subject.

In order to pass the programme, you must attend a minimum of 5 out of 6 subject activity sessions, as well as the Exeter Scholars Student Conference.
