Kenyon College
Celebrating a 50-year partnership
For fifty years, the Kenyon-Exeter Program has provided students from Kenyon College, Ohio, with the unique opportunity to study at the University of Exeter.
This prestigious year-long program allows Kenyon students to immerse themselves in Exeter’s Department of English and Creative Writing under the support of a Kenyon professor.
What makes this programme distinctive is the exclusive ‘Kenyon-Exeter Seminar,’ a course taught by a resident Kenyon professor. This seminar enhances the study abroad experience by focusing on cultural exploration, with a curriculum designed to engage students with the history, heritage, and vibrant local life of Exeter, Devon, and the UK.
The long-standing Kenyon-Exeter partnership brings together the best of two academic traditions: the depth and breadth of the University of Exeter’s teaching and research, and the personalised attention and close-knit community of a liberal arts education. The exchange of perspectives benefits all students involved - those who learn alongside Kenyon peers in the Department of English and Creative Writing, and those who take part in the distinctive Kenyon-Exeter Seminar or in a module taught by the resident Kenyon professor.
As we celebrate this 50-year milestone, we are proud to honour the enduring success of the Kenyon-Exeter Program and look forward to the next chapter in this exceptional partnership.
