Module description

Natural selection shapes the behaviour, morphology and life histories we observe in animals in their natural environments and influences animal behaviour, survival and reproductive success. However, the behaviour of animals, including humans, is also influenced by the environment. Indeed, accumulating evidence shows that the environment experienced from conception can have defining, life-long consequences on behaviour. During this module you will study the evolution of mating systems and sexual conflict, animal societies, predator-prey interactions, foraging and evolutionary arms races, and tackle the fascinating challenges of human evolution set in the context of an ever changing world
