Module description
Effective mine planning and design are essential for economic success of a project. This module covers mine planning requirements, input data for surface and underground mining, geotechnical and economic parameters. You will review current planning practices, mine method selection, cut-off grade determination, and industrial design techniques. The module introduces mine design software for surface and underground excavations. You will determine suitable cut-off grades, optimise open pit limits and use state-of-the art software for design and mine scheduling purposes for a range of mining projects.
