Module description

This module explores key strategies for building and managing reputation online. Focusing on a range of online influencer and content creator case studies, you will explore key strategies in how to build an online following, how to build brand sustainability, and how to monetize fame through designing and implementing growth strategies. You will study the forms and functions of various cultural intermediaries through which celebrity is produced and reproduced, and you will become familiar in key areas of law, including libel laws that protect the public images of individuals, privacy laws, and intellectual property laws. Case studies will focus on a range of international contexts and examples.
