Module description

The programme will open with a blended 30 credit module covering the fundamentals of healthcare leadership and management. This will include a consideration of the concepts, challenges, context, characteristics, capabilities, and the consequences of leadership as well as connectedness, problem solving and decision making. Plus integrated governance, communication, project management`, self-management and the management of people. The module will be delivered in one week blocks and punctuated with a formative or summative activity either alone or shared on-line within a cohort. Two face to face contact workshops will be complimented by a journal club and Q&A delivered by webinar. The summative assessments will be in the form of a peer assessed presentation of 20 minutes, a regular blog and knowledge digest plus an illustrative infographic.
