Module description

In this module the sources, uses and management of finance in a healthcare setting will be covered. The use account and other information systems for managerial applications will be explored and a broad understanding will be gained of the fundamental elements of healthcare finance, costs and budgets in an organisation. The module will be delivered in one week blocks punctuated with a formative or summative activity either alone or shared on-line within a cohort. One face to face contact workshop will be complimented by a journal club delivered by webinar. The summative assessment will be in the form of a series of accounting and finance exercises.
