Module description

Gaining work related experience of a variety of work place situations is invaluable to you as you apply for jobs post-graduation. Research into the graduate recruitment market suggests that lack of previous work experience is likely to detriment entry to graduate employment. BEP2030 builds on your year one learning and development (BEP1020) and expands your professional capability and entrepreneurial awareness. 

Module aims - intentions of the module

This module aims to continue your career and personal development journey, integrating practice and digital capability at a business engagement level. You will link theory and practice through a variety of experiential learning activities. You will develop transferable skills such as communication, networking, self-awareness and team working by working with a number of external businesses. You will complete a placement or project and as part of this, have the opportunity to personalise your career development journey.

Re-assessment notes

A student, where deferred via a single component will be reassessed in that component only. Where a student is deferred in the whole module, then the original assessment: Portfolio (60%), Group presentation (30%) and Project Engagement report (10%) are consolidated as a single individual deferred element (100%).
