DESCRIPTION - summary of the module content
Energy autonomous sensor systems is a fusion of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and wireless sensing engineering. The applications cover a wide range of sectors, such as aerospace, automotive, marine, oil and gas, utilities, water, nuclear power generation, transportation, agriculture/farming, logistics, and minerals/mining. You will learn a broad range of engineering subsystems and integration, such as energy harvesters, low power and energy-efficient circuits and energy-aware wireless sensors.
You will also have hands-on sessions to learn how to develop and test real-world energy autonomous sensor systems, ranging from vibration and wearable to thermal and electromagnetic energy harvesting powered systems.
