Study Ancient History at the University of Exeter

Exeter's Classics and Ancient History department is one of the largest and most vibrant in the country, with a flourishing student Classics Society that runs a lively social and academic programme.

Studying Ancient History at Exeter, you'll combine the exploration of fascinating ancient civilisations with critical analysis of our contemporary world. Through the intellectual challenge of studying language, politics, archaeology and history, you'll gain valuable skills in communication, critical understanding and evidence analysis.

You'll learn from academics who are active researchers, with particular expertise in Hellenistic and Romano-Greek Culture and Society, and Connectivity in the Roman World.
