I am a NERC-funded PhD student within the Biosciences department working with Dr Stephen Votier, Dr Matthew Witt and Dr Lucy Hawkes, along with Dr Peter Miller of the Plymouth Marine Laboratory. My project investigates the foraging behaviour of a marine top predator, the northern gannet, by using biologging technology to map foraging trips in three dimensions. Fieldwork takes place on Grassholm Island in Pembrokeshire, Wales, which is managed by the RSPB.

Research interests

  • Avian ecology and behaviour
  • Responses to environmental change
  • Spatial ecology and biologging
  • Conservation biology
