Launch of the University of Exeter Medical School Collaboration for Academic Primary Care (APEx).

Keynote speaker Dr Mike Bewick, Deputy Medical Director of NHS England.

APEx bolsters the world-class expertise in Primary Care within the Medical School and among our partners, and will establish the South West Peninsula as a national centre of excellence for Primary Care research and education. Building on strong clinical academic partnerships between the University and all levels of the regional health service, we will cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with partners in the emergent healthcare sector.

Event details

Our research will develop current areas of expertise in the key areas of primary care health services research, diagnostics, cardiovascular risk, and mental health – and expand into new areas building on existing and developing regional expertise.

APEx will establish a continuum of education in primary care from undergraduate to postgraduate and professional training, placing research and evidence at the heart of primary care education.
This development will present exciting opportunities regionally and nationally. We hope you will join us to find out more.

The event will include a networking lunch, and an opportunity to meet our key researchers and education staff working in Primary Care, and to discuss opportunities for future collaboration.

Please RSVP to Rachael Cameron.
