We have some of the most satisfied students in the UK - their opinions about the quality of their experience here have consistently rated us highly for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey.
Depending on your choice of degree, you may be based at our Streatham Campus or St Luke’s Campus in Exeter, or at our Penryn Campus in Cornwall. Both locations offer green campuses in some of the most beautiful parts of the country.
These pages highlight what student life is like in Devon and Cornwall, the accommodation options available and some of the sports, clubs and societies that you can get involved with as a student at the University of Exeter.
Life in Exeter, Devon
Exeter is home to our main site, the Streatham Campus on the edge of the city, and St Luke's Campus in the heart of the town. Set in the beautiful Devon countryside, Exeter is consistently rated as one of the best places to live, work, and study in the UK.
Life in Penryn, Cornwall
Thanks to its scenic beaches and coves, and dramatic clifftop views, Cornwall is one of Britain’s favourite holiday destinations. The county also has a rich history of artistic and scientific innovation, making it a fascinating and stimulating place to attend university.
There are three main campuses where you may be based; Streatham and St Luke's in Exeter, and Penryn in Cornwall. Each has its own unique character and all are well equipped with the support and services students need.
We know how important it is to find the right place to live when starting university. We have a variety of self-catered and catered accommodation available at both our Exeter and Penryn campuses suitable for a range of budgets.
The students' unions in Exeter and Penryn provide elected student representatives who champion students and drive change. The unions also organise events and entertainment, support societies and groups, and offer advice and support whilst you are student.
Clubs and societies
From 'Anatomy' to 'Zero Waste', there are more than 350 societies that you can get involved with. If there’s a society you want that we don’t have, we’ll help you set it up!
We are proud of our reputation for sporting excellence. All our campuses have superb facilities and we offer a large variety of participation opportunities for all students.

One piece of advice I would give anyone looking to study at the University of Exeter is to come and look around. When I came to an Open Day, I fell in love with the place.
