In addition the talk will expand on Shahrzad’s current research about Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) as an answer to a critical need for global access to higher education and professional development, specifically for marginalized people in advanced economies and also in the less privileged countries.
Shahrzad Ardavani is currently undertaking PhD in Philosophy of Education at the University of Aberdeen under the Elphinstone Scholarship. Prior to her PhD, Shahrzad completed a Master’s degree at the University of Exeter. She recently attended the 50th Annual International Conference in Birmingham and gave a talk on current issues in English language teaching in Iran.
