The first of these lectures will be presented by Dr Stewart Barr, Associate Professor of Geography
Building Sustainable Communities in an Age of Climate Change and 'Peak Oil’
Global climate change and 'peak oil', the point in time when the maximum rate of petroleum extraction is reached, present major challenges for the resilience and sustainability of contemporary society.
This lecture will look at how individuals and communities respond to these issues and the potential for developing a low carbon future.
