Dr Emma Ross from the University of Brighton, will be giving a seminar titled: "Neuromuscular function and fatigue in health, disease and environmental extremes".

Dr Emma Ross is a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise at the University of Brighton.  Her research explores the role of the central nervous system in fatigue, particularly during exercise performed in environmental extremes such as heat and hypoxia.  Emma is also interested in how the central nervous system adapts to exercise training, and how exercise can be used therapeutically in patents with neurodegenerative disease.

This talk is funded by a Physiological Society Department Seminar Series Grant awarded to Dr Jo Bowtell and Professor Andy Jones.
