The next research forum of the Institute of Cornish Studies will be held in the Trevithick Room, ESI, at Penryn Campus. It will explore issues of governance and identity relating to Cornwall within a wider spatial context.

Our guest speaker is Chris Carter, Professor of Strategy and Organisation at the University of Edinburgh, who will provide a comparative perspective by looking at the Scottish experience. He will give a talk entitled ‘Discipline & Strategy: How the Scottish National Party became Scotland’s ‘Natural Party of Government’’.

Additional presentations will be given by Garry Tregidga, Co-Director at the Institute of Cornish Studies, and Andrew Climo, a PhD student at the Institute, relating to the contemporary and historical work of the Cornish Democracy Unit.
