'Trawler Trash'

The unveiling of art collaboration Trawler Trash.

An opportunity to attend the unveiling of a unique installation by artist Liz Franklin from Rame Peninsula Beach Care.

Event details

Liz has developed the concept of Trawler Trash, a large abstract mural from beach waste, and was helped in its production by 100 young people from secondary schools across Cornwall, who attended the ESI's Environment and Sustainability Day in April.

This project is part of the wider collaboration, All Washed Up, between ESI academic Dr Matthew Witt and Claire Wallerstein from Rame Peninsula Beach Care exploring the impact of plastics and rubbish in marine environments. Artwork from this project will also be available to view in the ESI Creative Studio.

Both Matthew and Claire will present an update on their collaboration, and the evening will feature short films and videos showcasing recent project activity.

There is no need to register for this event, please arrive at the ESI from 16:00.
