Careers workshop in Athens
The aim of this half-day workshop is to analyse some of the obstacles that hamper career progression, identify tactics for influencing employers and to share experiences and good practice in the art of career management.

Event details
The workshop will be facilitated by David Pritchard; a careers consultant from the University of Exeter Business School and a high level of participation will be encouraged to make the session enjoyable as well as worthwhile. There will be an opportunity during lunch time and beyond to have a one-to-one meeting with David to discuss specific issues that may not have been covered during the morning session.

10.15 – 10.45 ‘I know what I want, but how do I get it?’ Effective job hunting techniques

11.00 – 12.00 Personal branding – CVs, applications and interviews
12.00 – 13.00 Soft skills (leadership, negotiation, teamwork…) and their impact on the recruitment and selection process
13.00 – 14.30 Lunch and optional one-to-one discussions
