This session explores interviewing in qualitative research and focuses on (1) benefits and drawbacks of using various types of interviews, (2) preparing for an interview, (3) interviewing techniques and how to make the most of an interviewing situation and (4) using interviews in combination with other methods of data collection. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss potential and encountered challenges of using interviews as a research tool in relation to their own projects.
