Engineering professionals are invited to a free event held by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Professor Lars Johanning will be discussing his innovative work on marine renewable engineering.
There will also be an opportunity to meet engineering students from the University of Exeter and network with companies from across the region.
Professor Lars Johanning
Lars Johanning is Associated Professor in Ocean Energy at the University of Exeter. He has been involved in research on hydrodynamic related topics for marine structures since 1997.
Lars has been involved in research on hydrodynamic related topics. His research includes:
• Studies on hydrodynamic damping and vortex induced vibration on bluff bodies.
• Loading and dynamic response of a mono-tower in steep and breaking waves.
• Hydrodynamic studies on station keeping principals for marine renewable devices.
