To support colleagues in making successful applications for CASE studentships, this workshop offers insight into the CASE bid process, scientific peer review and panel level feedback on the proposed training programmes, and advice on developing the partnership aspects of your proposal. This is part of ongoing support available for the current round of MRC and NERC CASE applications.

Who should attend?

Researchers with an interest in applying for all CASE studentship are invited to join this session. While the primary focus will be the forthcoming NERC and MRC call, this will be an open event and would suit all those looking to apply to RCUK CASE calls though DTPs.

Aims:

Led by the NERC and MRC Strategy Group with participation from other expert researchers and specialists in the area, this session will be an opportunity to:

  • Gain information about the application process and how to optimise your chances of success.
  • Hear feedback from MRC and best practice learnt from 2015 call.
  • Understand how to approach and work with external partners.
  • Learn how to formulate unique postgraduate training programmes.
  • Find out about, and begin to make use of the support available for your application.
