Event details
Who should attend?
Researchers with an interest in developing interdisciplinary projects at the interface between quantitative disciplines and biology, biomedicine and clinical research are invited to this session.
Workshop aims:
Attendees at this session will be able to:
- Receive an overview of the format and structure of seed corn projects
- Understand the purpose of the incubator event
- Meet with CBMA research fellows and members of the CBMA steering group to discuss ideas for their projects
- Receive advice on submitting applications ready for the submission date in June
What is the session about?
The CBMA brings together an interdisciplinary team of scientists to help pump-prime research, and provide training courses, methods clinics and drop-in sessions for biological, biomedical and clinical researchers.
If your project is selected, you will be supported by one or more Centre Fellows, with whom you will co-create the research plan and other outcomes within a research retreat running on 12/13 September. Projects will then run from mid September 2016 through to mid March 2017.
Alongside the research time of Centre Fellows, successful projects will also be awarded up to £10,000 in essential research consumables to develop projects to the stage at which initial publications and applications for funding can be made.
