The following presentations will help inform you about PhD research in the College of Humanities. They can help you prepare for relevant workshops during our Postgraduate Open Days where you will be able to ask staff questions. If you are unable to attend an Open Day in person, they can help inform you of topics which are presented on the day.
Bill Douglas presentation The Bill Douglas Cinema Museum and Archive is a unique special collection for film studies and popular culture.
Digital Humanities presentation Digital Humanities are well established in the Exeter, with a brand new Digital Humanities lab and a wealth of projects some of which with a history of more than a decade. Reflecting on how your project could link to Digital Humanities can add modern data analysis and presentation and perhaps even interdisciplinarity to your project.
PG library presentation The University of Exeter has as wealth of special collections and archive material in its library, which can add a whole new dimension to your postgraduate research.
SWW AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership presentation The University of Exeter is part of the South West Wales Doctoral Training Partnership consortium of universities. This presentation provides you with some ideas of this kind of AHRC funding. The next round for applications will open in November 2019, but work on an application in contact with potential supervisors normally starts as early as during the summer.
