Excellence in Cornwall Scholarship

About the award

Our Cornwall Campus is part of a Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) initiative and part-funded by the EU Regional Development Fund. Combined Universities in Cornwall is a partnership of six universities and colleges working together to give more people the chance to study in Cornwall, and to use university level education to help local businesses and communities to thrive.

In support of this ambition and in our drive for excellence, we are delighted to offer Excellence in Cornwall Scholarships. Each award, worth £3,000*, and payable as a reduction on your tuition fees for the first year only.

Eligible programmes
All taught Masters programmes in Cornwall, including MSc Sustainable Development (Distance Learning); this includes MRes, but excludes PgDip, PgCert and Masters by Research programmes.

Eligibility criteria
University of Exeter undergraduate students progressing directly from undergraduate to postgraduate study in 2013, who hold an offer of a place to study on an eligible programme, who can demonstrate academic merit and ambition. The scholarship is not available for students who choose to have a break before continuing their studies. Students may have undertaken their undergraduate study in any discipline and on any campus.

*Value
£3,000 payable as a reduction on tuition fees for the first year only for full-time entrants; £1,500 payable as a reduction on tuition fees for the first year only for part-time or Distance Learning entrants. The award will be automatically deducted from the cost of your tuition fees and will come out of your September tuition fees payment.

How to apply

To be eligible for an Excellence in Cornwall Scholarship you must hold an offer of a place to study on one of the eligible taught Masters programmes, commencing in 2013.

Once you have received the offer of a place to study, please return to this page to access the scholarship application system and apply for the award. Please note that the scholarship application system for this award is not yet live but will be so imminently; please check back.

All completed scholarship applications received from eligible students by 30 April 2013 will be considered.
