We try to see as many applicants as possible before making an offer. A large proportion of applicants are invited to attend two days of workshops and an interview. A short interview with an individual member of staff is combined with staff-led and separate student-led studio sessions. Working and talking with each other and with present students are important features of this experience. This will involve an overnight stay in Exeter. 

Economics

GCSE Mathematics grade A or AS/A-Level Maths equivalent. GCSE English Language Grade B. No requirement for Economics to have been studied previously

Beginners French entry – is available through the Foreign Language Centre as a 30 credit pathway. Students following this route may not be able to take non-language modules in the French Department, as these are usually for post- A-Level students.

Geography

  • Human Geography: A-Level grade B or IB HL 5 in humanities or social science subject.
  • Physical Geography: A-Level grade B or IB HL 5 in a science subject (see list below).

Note – you can study either human or physical Geography, or indeed a combination of both, but you may not be able to take some of the physical Geography modules if you don’t have a science A-Level or equivalent.
