Offer-Holder Visit Days - Exeter campuses

Congratulations on receiving your offer of a place at the University of Exeter

Choosing your university is an important decision and we hope that the Offer-Holder Visit Day you have booked will give you all the information you need to help you make that decision.

These webpages will provide all you need to know to plan your day and get the most from your visit; including how to get here, the registration process and maps of the two Exeter campuses.

We have a packed programme of activities that start at 09:00 each day providing you and your guests with the opportunity to take tours of the campus, accomodation and sports park, visit our Student Information Fair in the Forum and attend a programme of general presentations.

Approximately a week before your visit we will send your further information to help you plan your day and a link to an electronic copy of the Offer-Holder Visit Day brochure.

Practical arrangements

Planning your day

Prior to your visit, please familiarise yourself with your subject-specific itinerary attached to your registration documents. To get the most from your day, we would encourage you to attend a mixture of the subject-specific activities and the other tours and presentations that are on offer earlier in the day.

Registration

Please remember to bring your registration documents and barcode ticket (emailed to you upon booking) with you on the day as you will require this for registration.

If you are using the Exeter Westpoint Park and Ride service, you can register before boarding your transfer bus. We ask that all other visitors make their way to the Forum (Streatham Campus) or South Cloisters (St Luke's Campus) and register at the Registration/Information desks.

Parents and guests

Some parts of the day are intended for students only and are clearly indicated on your subject-specific itinerary. Whilst students undertake these activities, parents and guests may wish to visit the Information Fair in the Forum on the Streatham Campus, attend a campus or accommodation tour on either campus, or one of the non-subject presentations.

Visitors with disabilities/special needs

We encourage students who require special arrangements to contact us on +44 (0)1392 724043 so that we can plan for your visit. Visitors who are Blue Badge Holders are able to park on either campus in designated areas.

Please note, the Streatham Campus covers approximately 300 acres and is very hilly.

Please visit our AccessAbility Service stand in the Information Fair in the Forum (Streatham Campus) to meet our staff who are committed to supporting students with disabilities on all campuses.

Tours

Accommodation tours

Before attending the Offer-Holder Visit Day we strongly recommend that you visit our Accommodation web pages to find out about the wide range of accommodation, both on and off campus, that is available at the University of Exeter. You will find information and 360° virtual tours for many of the residences, showcasing the different types of accommodation on offer to suit your particular requirements.

Please note that during the Offer-Holder Visit Days residences are occupied by current students and we politely ask that visitors respect the privacy and security of our current students at all times. Tours of accommodation are restricted to certain residences which illustrate the types of accommodation available. Access to other residences is not permitted.

These tours are extremely popular and at busy times may be restricted to prospective students and one guest only, to reduce crowding. Other guests are welcome to attend the presentations offered by staff from our Accommodation Office, view the accommodation display, and talk to Accommodation staff in the Information Fair. It may also be possible for guests to view the accomodation at less busy times of the day, particularly in the afternoon when students are attending subject-related presentations.
