Dr Sarah Hodge
Class III Member (Appointed by Senate) since 1 August 2024
Dr Sarah Hodge is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Ecology and Conservation within the Faculty of Economics, Science and Economy on the Penryn Campus and is heavily involved in both undergraduate and MSc teaching. Sarah is currently Deputy Head of Department, having previously held Director of Education and Programme Lead roles for Biosciences. Sarah also leads on widening participation activities within the department and provides pastoral support to International Students. She joined the University in 2008 as an Associate Research Fellow following the completion of her PhD and a three-year post as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (HEA).

Professor Musarrat Maisha Reza
Class III Member (Appointed by Senate) since 1 August 2025
Professor Musarrat Maisha Reza is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences and Health Equity and Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences. She is a Senior Fellow of AdvanceHE, ASPIRE Senior Fellow, and Education Incubator Fellow, and earned her PhD from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2017.
She is an elected University Senator and previously served on the University Education Board-Taught Programmes. She co-chairs the national Decolonising Medical Curricula Working Group and was elected to the Medical Schools Council (MSC) EDI Alliance Board. Her award-winning work focuses on inclusive education, decolonising the curricula, and health equity.
Alongside her academic leadership, she brings extensive global advocacy experience, representing youth and education equity at the United Nations, Commonwealth, and UNESCO. She remains committed to building fairer, more inclusive learning environments through collaboration, representation, and transformative education.
