Why did you choose to study here?

I was keen on doing my CFA and the MSc in financial analysis and fund management was one of the best courses which was tailored around the CFA curriculum.

What did you enjoy most about studying here?

Exeter is a very welcoming city and as a student I found it very easy to adjust to this city. Also Exeter being in Devon and close to Cornwall has some fantastic beaches which I happened to go over the weekend after a hectic week of studying.

Did you use the Careers Service while you were at Exeter?

Yes I did use the careers service, they were very helpful. They guided me well on how to network and were very helpful in providing advice on my resume.

What have you been doing since leaving Exeter, and what are you doing now?

I happened to travel a lot for work and have worked in different cities like London and Dubai. I am currently working with PwC in their audit team in the Bristol office.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The best part about being in audit is you get to meet new clients and work with different industries.

How have your University of Exeter studies helped in your career?

Absoutely. I am currently working on financial services clients and my background in MSc FAFM helped me understand the business better. Also the course being challenging helped me cope with pressure well which is very useful at work.

Do you have any advice for current students wishing to pursue your career?

If you are passionate about understanding businesses, audit is a good place to start your career.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to work in audit and grow within the public practice in the coming years.

Focus on your strengths as employers are keen to know what you are good at.
