I work as an investment analyst for the financial consultancy LCP. I am involved in advising the Trustees and corporate sponsors of defined benefit pension schemes on their broad investment strategy; helping Trustees to appoint new fund managers appropriate for their needs; coordinating the transfer of assets from one fund manager to another; and, in particular, monitoring the performance of Schemes’ investments, with the investment strategy, movement of the liabilities and investment objectives in mind.

I also regularly get involved in carrying out research into the available fund manager offerings for various asset classes. I love the variety of interesting work, the opportunity to apply some of what I learned on the FAFM programme and so far through levels 1 and 2 of the CFA programme, the incredible support offered in studying for the CFA qualification, as well as the social aspect of the job.
