Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences

Suzhou University of Science and Technology (SUST)

The University of Exeter and Suzhou University of Science and Technology (SUST) are pleased to have launched a Masters progression pathway, and we will be welcoming SUST students to join Exeter from September 2026.

SUST is a leading university in Jiangsu Province, forming in 2001 through a merger of two previous institutions. SUST maintains three campuses (Shihu, Jiangfeng, Tianping) and offers over 60 undergraduate programmes and over 30 postgraduate programmes across humanities and social sciences, but also engineering, science and business. It also emphasises internationalisation, with education partnerships at over 80 overseas institutions.

Through our Progression pathway, any SUST undergraduate student, having completed their study at SUST, can progress to any Masters programme in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) as well as HLS and ESE faculties (where eligible) at the University of Exeter. All SUST students who meet our standard academic and English language entry requirements from China will receive an offer to study at Exeter. Information for all our students from China can be found here.

SUST-Exeter Scholarships

We are delighted to provide Suzhou University of Science and Technology students progressing onto a programme in the HASS Faculty (and other faculties) with a dedicated scholarship award. This dedicated partnership scholarship may be combined with other scholarship awards made by Exeter, though applicants are asked to enquire directly for conditions on maximum award values.

Please contact china-partnerships@exeter.ac.uk with any questions, and the HASS Faculty at HASS@exeter.ac.uk.
