Before you arrive checklist
Essential tasks
| Apply for a visa | All non-UK nationals need permission to study in the UK. You could also attend one of our live webinars for detailed information. |
| Plan your travel | Find out about different ways to get to your campus including our Airport Collection Service. |
| Consider where you will live | Read about the different accommodation options available to you in Exeter and Cornwall, either University managed or in the private sector. |
| Read about the UK's health system | Make sure you have the cover you need before you need it. |
| Organise a bank account | Read our guide to UK banking and plan ahead for a cashless campus with a Caxton Currency card or an online bank account. |

When you arrive checklist

| International Student Clearance | Present your passport and immigration status (or visa) to the University. |
| Attend the Welcome programme - Exeter or the Welcome programme - Cornwall | A combination of online and in person events to welcome you to the University and help you settle into your new life with us. |
| eVisas | In most cases, an eVisa will be the only evidence you have of your permission to be in the UK. Find out more on this page. |
| Register with a Health Centre | Register with your local health centre and receive your free Meningitis vaccination. |
| Open a UK bank account | You may want to open a bank account while in the UK. Watch our 'FW2021 Banking and Finances in the UK' presentation. |

| Wellbeing advice | Prepare yourself mentally and physically for starting your new course at the university in either Penryn or Exeter. |
