GW4 Cytometry Data Science Course

Unlock the Power of Cytometry Data with R

27–30 July 2026 | University of Exeter

Join us in Exeter for the GW4 Cytometry Data science course.   A 4-day hands-on training course designed to equip researchers with the skills to analyse high-dimensional cytometry datasets using R.

Building on last year’s 2-day course, we have expanded our workshop, now with a dedicated introductory programming day, more time for machine learning, and an introduction to spatial biology.

Supported by the GW4 Cytometry Network, this workshop brings together researchers and cytometry experts to foster collaboration, training and data-driven research in the biosciences.

What You Will Learn

Whether you are new to coding or looking to strengthen your data analysis skills, in this practical course will learn reproducible, scalable flow cytometry analysis in R and cutting‑edge imaging workflows.

The course is divided into three modules.

27th July: Introduction to R

  • Core Programming Concepts

28-29th July: Flow Cytometry Data Science

  • High-Dimensional and Statistical Analysis
  • Advanced Visualisation of Cytometry Data
  • Machine Learning

30th July: Imaging Cytometry and Spatial Biology

  • Spatial Biology Analysis with QuPath

Prior programming experience is recommended. Participants may bring their own laptop or use a workstation provided on site.
