Internal selection
Some fellowship schemes impose a limit on the number of submissions a university can make, meaning that an internal selection process will be necessary to select the candidates approved to submit ahead of the funder deadline.
Exeter faculties may also choose to impose a limit of the number of submissions for a fellowship scheme and implement an internal selection process even if the funder has not stipulated one.
All internal processes apply equally to internal and external fellowship candidates.
