Guidelines framework
Advisory
These guidelines are not formal regulatory procedures but provided as a framework that broadly outlines the steps needed to achieve regulatory compliance in various situations.
Guidance for these scenarios will be included in the training for web editors of University-supported web editing platforms such as T4 and ELE, so if this is your role you're not expected to read the guidelines here unless you've been specifically directed to do so.
Contents
- Guidelines A: Editing a stand-alone website
- Guidelines B: Creating an item of web content using a third-party application
- Guidelines C: Creating a database feed for a website
- Guidelines D: Procuring a third-party application to produce items of web content
- Guidelines E: Commissioning a third party to create a website
- Guidelines F: Commissioning a third party to create an item of web content
Guidelines B, D and F refer to 'items of web content'. In this context, an item of web content is a self-contained element, such as a document, video, or piece of code, to be uploaded or embedded within a larger website or app. It does not refer to content created within a web editing platform, such as page text, tables and links.
