Foundation-level web accessibility training for T4 editors
Overview
The foundation-level training will look at how to edit accessibly when undertaking simple or common tasks in T4.
Additional benefits for editors
You should find that this material will also develop your understanding of how T4 works, which in turn should:
- provide you with skills to problem-solve some issues you encounter in T4
- make you more aware of achievable options for structuring and presenting your content.
We're here to help
Web accessibility is a large and sometimes complex field. While we do expect all T4 editors to familiarise themselves with the foundation-level content for their platform, we don't expect you to instantly absorb it without needing to refer back here from time to time.
We're also aware that different editors have different types of tasks that they tend to do repeatedly, so colleagues will naturally gain confidence and experience in different areas.
At all points, the web team are here to help, so please do email the web team via digitalteam@exeter.ac.uk if you need advice, don't understand some of the instructions or don't feel confident in tackling any task.
The status of this site

Further training materials will be added over the coming months as the site develops. Notifications of new training content will be included in the Weekly Bulletin, and by email.
