Preventing accidental h1 headings

When you're adding general text to your webpages, you'll see an option to change the style of your text via the drop-down format menu on the right side of the editing ribbon. The menu has a default setting of 'Paragraph', as shown in the following image:

You should never choose 'Header 1' from that menu, as there must only be one h1 heading on a page and, for the page's code to work properly with assistive technologies, that heading must be added using the procedure described in How to add an h1 heading template to your webpage.
H1 headings are not simply a way of making text look bigger and bolder, so they mustn't be used for that – they have an important and specific coded purpose.
