Finding Support with Eating Difficulties

As a student there are various paths to getting the support you need, whether that's with the University or through external bodies.

If you have any queries or concerns, you can always book a Drop-In appointment to discuss them with one of our practitioners.

Our Urgent Support contacts are available to you 24/7, whether you are on or off-campus.

We recommend speaking with your GP for advice with eating. The Student Health Centre is located on Streatham campus and you can register online.

In Wellbeing Services, the Mental Health Pathway considers support options and reasonable adjustments for students in relation to how their mental health impacts on their ability to study and manage at University.

We also support students who experience a disability or long-term health condition with a specific emphasis on how they are impacting on the ability to study and cope at University.

For anybody who has difficulties with food and/or body image, and those who are living with eating disorders, there is the Eating Difficulties Peer Support Group. The sessions are pro-recovery and are held in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment. They aim to provide support and motivation alongside treatment and are facilitated by trained student volunteers.
