Applying
You can apply for accommodation as a clearing applicant via Room Service. Our accommodation team allocate rooms on a first come first served basis and will try and give your highest preference based on availability.
You can find out about our university accommodation here.
Once you have accepted a course place via Clearing or if Exeter was previously your insurance choice, you can apply for accommodation when your University of Exeter offer is confirmed. There may be a delay of 24-48 hours before you can register for an accommodation account. If you are still unable to register after this time, please contact us. When you’ve received confirmation of your offer from us, please apply for accommodation as soon as possible
There is more information on the application process here.
We review availability in our halls regularly, and if there is nothing available, the accommodation team can assist you in finding alternative accommodation in the private sector.
Please note, in order to increase the availability of University owned, managed, or approved accommodation during periods of high demand, we enter into agreements with approved accommodation providers in the local area.
Adjustments if you are living with a disability or health condition
If you are living with disability or health condition that requires adjustments to enable you to live in our accommodation, please complete the ‘Accessibility Questionnaire’ at the end of the application on Room Service (the accommodation application portal).
You will be asked to provide medical evidence to the Accessibility Team to support your condition and request. The team will then review your case to ensure you have the right support in place and liaise with the Accommodation Team regarding any accommodation needs they have approved.
We're happy to discuss individual requirements with students who have disabilities, and we encourage you to contact the Accommodation Office and the Accessibility Team at an early stage so we can make sure we consider your needs when allocating rooms.
Whilst we endeavour to make reasonable adjustments to support individuals who require adapted accommodation, we cannot guarantee an offer of suitable accommodation as this is subject to availability.
Get in touch with the Accommodation team if you have any questions.
