Working with Further Education Colleges
At the University of Exeter, we are proud to work in close partnership with Further Education (FE) colleges across the UK. These collaborations are at the centre of our strategy to widen participation in higher education and support lifelong learning.
Partnership
Meaningful, long-term partnerships between universities and FE colleges can open doors and create exciting opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds. That’s why we’re committed to:
- Co-developing progression pathways into higher education via ‘Bridges to Higher Education’ and articulation routes – from Access to HE courses to A-level, BTEC & T-levels to foundation years
- Supporting curriculum design – ensuring alignment for academic progression via ‘Academic Connect’
- Offering staff development and knowledge exchange at an annual conference – empowering educators to support students HE progression
- Providing outreach and engagement opportunities – including joint events, higher education information advice and guidance workshops, subject tasters and campus experiences to inspire learners.
A shared vision
Together with our FE partners, we’re working towards an inclusive, dynamic, and responsive education landscape.
