Accommodation costs

We offer a range of student accommodation, with differing standards, budgets and styles to suit everyone.

‌Last year we were delighted to be able to freeze the rent costs for a number of residences, however as we move forwards into 2014/15 it has not been financially viable to freeze for another year. We are pleased to confirm however that all increases have been kept to a minimum where possible.

We have worked closely with the Students' Guild to ensure that there are a range of accommodation types available at varying contract lengths and rents, which are as affordable as possible. We advise students to look at the length of their contracts and total costs for their accommodation when considering their accommodation choices for 2014/15.

Please view our tables for catered and self catered accommodation to see the range rents and contract periods on offer.

What do I get for my money?

Our rents include utility bills, internet access and a basic level of contents insurance. Depending on whether you live in catered or self catered accommodation, your room and/or communal areas are also cleaned regularly.

In catered halls, rent includes 16 meals each week: breakfast and dinner every day, with an additional brunch at weekends. Weekday lunches can be bought from a number of catering outlets and shops on campus.

All residents are supported by our Residence Life Team and the University's 24 hour security team and, as we have signed up to The Student Accommodation Code of Practice, you can rest assured that we are committed to offering you safe, good value accommodation.
