This MA programme was set up to develop shared research interests between Theology, Classics, Sociology and Philosophy.
The programme provides a combination of modules focusing on ethical, religious or social thought in the ancient or modern world. It is designed to enable students to think critically about the ethical basis of action and the relationship of ethics to social and religious contexts. It offers a basis for a wide range of types of employment or for postgraduate research in ethics and related areas.
