Postgraduate Taught Global Excellence Scholarship

At the University of Exeter we combine world-class teaching and research from exceptional locations in South West England. We have more than £1.5 million worth of scholarships available for international fee paying students applying to study with us in September 2019.

Scholarships will be awarded for outstanding academic quality and you will be automatically considered when you apply; there is no separate process.

Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarships are worth up to £5000, payable as a reduction of the international tuition fee for one year only.

Scholarships available and how to apply

Scholarships are available in the following disciplines:

Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarships are worth £5,000 payable as a reduction on the first year International tuition fees.

Scholarships will offered on a rolling basis until 30 June 2019 at the discretion of the University. As there are a limited number of scholarships available we encourage early submission of your postgraduate application.

There is no separate application form; all applicants who apply for an eligible course will be considered for a scholarship award until the total number of available scholarships have been allocated.

Scholarships are available as follows:

  • There are an unlimited number of £5,000 awards for international applicants to any Business School MA / MSc / MBA programme who achieve the equivalent of a UK first class Bachelor degree.
  • 40 x £5,000 awards are available to international applicants for MSc Financial Analysis and Fund Management, MSc International Management, MSc Economics, MSc Economics and Econometrics or MSc Behavioural Economics and Finance who achieve the equivalent of a UK upper second class Bachelor degree.

Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarships (Home / EU applicants) are worth £1000 payable as a reduction in first year Home/EU tuition fees.

Scholarships will offered on a rolling basis until 30 June 2019 at the discretion of the University. As there are a limited number of scholarships available we encourage early submission of your postgraduate application.

There is no separate application form; all applicants who apply for an eligible course will be considered for an award until the total number of available scholarships are allocated. .

Scholarships are available for Healthcare and Medicine offer holders on the following programmes of study:

  • Environment & Human Health,
  • Applied Health Services Research,
  • Medical Imaging Skeletal Reporting,
  • Clinical Education, Extreme Medicine,
  • Health Care Leadership

Terms and Conditions

This award will be automatically allocated to outstanding applicants applying for the first time for September 2019 entry (deferred offer holders or applicants seeking deferred entry are not eligible); a separate application is not required.

Academic merit, as determined by information provided in the application form, is the sole determinant in identifying potential scholars. Typically this will be the achievement of a bachelor's degree equivalent to at least a UK upper second class award.

Awardees will be required to satisfy any conditions stipulated in their offer letter no later than 31 August 2019. Applicants can only receive one scholarship funded by the University of Exeter, in the event that an applicant is secures more than one University award the scholarship of the greater value will take precedence.  Awards are non-recurrent.
