How to apply - Temporary Staff Bank (TSB)

The application process for the TSB is as follows:

  1. Registration Form and Skills Form
  2. Shortlisting
  3. Interview (and Right to Work check)
  4. Confirmation of registration on the Bank
  5. You will be alerted as work becomes available

Please note: Registration on the Bank will be confirmed after a successful shortlisting and interview process.

The bank is currently closed for new applications due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and teaching moving to online with the majority of staff now working from home. Updates on the virus can be found here. This webpage will be updated again when the situation changes and we are able to open registrations.

Applications will be assessed against the TSB Person specification .

If you’re experiencing a problem whilst applying and receive the following error message ‘email address has already been registered’, this is because you have used this email address previously to complete an application for the University, therefore will need to use an alternative.  Please ensure that you put the email address that you would like TSB to use to communicate with you, on your Skills Form.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Please note: that the University normally contacts referees without further notice to applicants, if you have given us permission to do so.

Occasionally, we experience high volumes of applications and this may result in a delay in processing your application.  We aim to provide an outcome to your application within 2 weeks.

For general enquiries, you are welcome to contact or you can meet the team on our   page.

If you have previously worked at the University of Exeter and left as part of a Voluntary Release Scheme you may not be eligible for TSB registration. If this is the case, or you are unsure, please contact HR Services on 01392 723094
