About this course:

Open access allows greater visibility of research and can stimulate new research opportunities and collaborations.

The University of Exeter supports the principles of open access where legally, commercially and ethically appropriate.

This virtual session will explain what it means to publish in open access, the types of publishers, and open access licensing options.

Funds available to publish open access and publishers' agreements through which authors can publish without paying any publishing fees will be presented.

Learning outcomes:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:.

- Publish in open access on the publishers' platforms.

- Understand licensing options.

- Know funding options available and how to request internal funds.

- Be knowledgeable of publishers' agreements in place at Exeter where you can publish without open access publishing fees.

Who should attend this course:

This course is recommended for Early Career Researchers and PGRs.
