An Introduction to Data Connect and the Data & Insights Hub

Course overview: Data Connect is your single point of access for data, reports, and guidance on how to work with & understand your data. This course provides an introduction to the University's Data Connect service as well as the reports and dashboard provided through the Data & Insights Hub (formerly the MI Hub). During this session, you will given a guided tour of Data Connect and the Data & Insights Hub, demonstrating some of its most popular reports and answering any questions you may have about how it can best support you.
Learning outcomes: As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:. - Understand how to access the services provided by Data Connect. - Access and navigate the Data & Insights Hub with confidence. - Run Data & Insight Hub reports in Power BI and Cognos Analytics. - Navigate through reporting in Power BI and Cognos Analytics, using filters and drill-through links with confidence. - Export your data to PDF or Excel. - Contact the University's Data & Insights team for additional support.
Audience: All staff that might benefit from using Data Connect (i.e everyone!).
