Global Leaders Experience - Petrus Porto

Global Leaders - Porto 2023

About the Programme

Join us in Porto, Portugal this September as we partner with Petrus Communications to deliver a 5-day immersive programme focused onthe development of professional skills, teamwork and project delivery

Across the week, you will work in one of several diverse teams to confront a challenge presented by a Portugal-based organisation involved as a ‘challenge owner’.You will have the opportunity to hear from the challenge owners through expert lectures and workshops, working with them to address a problem and present your ideas to the cohort at the end of the week.

This highly interactive programme is also packed with inspirational talks, employability skill workshops, career insights, presentations, networking sessions and creative teamwork supported by expert coaches

Local student buddies will be on hand to support you with your orientation, fact finding and project logistics. Alongside these buddies and a dedicated group coach, participants can expect to improve their intercultural communication, presenting and project management skills.

This Global Leader’s Experience is running in conjunction with the International Business and Modern Languages programme, however you do not need experience in this area to apply. We welcome students from across all faculties and campuses, and in fact particularly welcome applications from those with little or no prior knowledge or relevant experience

Last year’s programmesaw students travel to Lisbon and included presentations and challenges from organisations including:

  • Airbus Portugal

  • GLSMED

  • Sintra City Council
