EPSRC Funded PhD Studentships for September 2023 entry

The deadline for applications has now closed for 2023/24 applicants.

These studentships cover tuition fees and an annual maintenance grant, worth £17,668 in 2023/24.  They are available across a range of departments at the University of Exeter including  Biosciences, Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Ecology and Conservation, Engineering, Geography, Health and Care Professions, Management, Mathematic and Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, and Psychology

The studentships are competitive and will be awarded to outstanding applicants by the University’s Strategy Group in partnership with the Doctoral College.

This DTP has a student-centred application process, where applicants prepare a short research proposal in consultation with a named supervisor of their choice. The first step is to identify a supervisor who carries out research in the area that you are keen to pursue a PhD. Your preferred supervisor will then support and advise you in writing your research proposal. Please follow the links below for more details. There is a Recruitment Fair on 26th January 2023, where you can find out more about the application process, and hear about the research being carried out by current EPSRC DTP students. There is no need to register to attend. We look forward to seeing you there.
