Module description

Here students will look at the actual contemporary practice of psychedelic-assisted therapy from experts and practitioners in the field, yet it will relate to notions studied previously. Topics here include introductions to clinical protocols, psychopharmacology, neuroplasticity, practicalities of clinical trials (Preparation, Session, Integration), questionnaires used (MEQ, etc), practical ethical considerations that occur including the risk of harm. And beyond the therapy room we shall also look at mysticism, breathwork, group activity, the idea of medicalization as an evaluation of psychedelic clinical practice, as well as a number of issues that arise in the current psychedelic medicinal sphere.
